Pivot Table Missing Filter Tab

Hi.

I have been working with pivot tables for the past 6+ years and have
never come across this problem.... I opened my table up and refreshed
it, now the blocks where the filters are normally are just gray. No
black filter arrows. I tried refreshing the data, recreating the pivot
table altogether, but all I see now is the category - and no filter
tab.

I also checked table options....drill down is enabled.

any clues?
