Pivot Table - Don't want sums

D

Dan Rosenberg

I have a field in a pivot table that I want to list on the
table, but not subtotal. I don't want std, var or any
other subtotal calc performed. Is this possible? The
field is in the data section of the pivot table layout.

Thanks,

Dan

Without a description of the fields or the pivot table layout, it's hard
to suggest a solution. Is it a numeric field, or text? What do you want
to show, if not a summary?

If it's text, and you place it in the data area, it will show as zeroes
for most functions, or a number if summarized by Count. Perhaps you
could add the field to the Row area, and use another field in the data area.

If it's numeric, you might be able to use the Max or Min functions to
show the number.

Or, you could provide a bit of sample data, and the result you'd like in
the pivot table, and someone may be able to help.
