Is the source code to the famous
3D Pipes screen saver
available anywhere?

SFAIK 3D Pipes was produced by Microsoft and first included in NT. I
don't think they ever released the source code.

There is an OpenGL version of the pipes screen saver
in the xscreensaver package under Debian GNU/Linux ....

The source code is available from the Debian repositories
and I have it ....

If you want it let me know ....

I have Fedora Core 5 on a box over here
so that should be OK, I hope.
