Pioneer DVR-109 & DVR-110D not working with Seagate SATA HD

I recently purchased a Seagate SATA HD. After installing it both of my
Pioneer DVD burners stopped functioning. I removed the SATA HD and the
burners work fine. It's not so much that they don't function at all.
They still open and close and can read what is in the drive. I just
get burn process errors with my burning programs. Now any time that I
want to burn DVDs I have to shutdown and unhook my SATA cable and boot
back up to burn the DVDs.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is there documented issues
with SATA HDs and DVD burners? Please help! Thanks.

Probably related to your system chipset and installed drivers.
Could be the DVD ATA channel switched to PIO.

I already checked that out. That's not the problem. Anyone else know
anything? Even theories would help. Thanks.

Check if there is a later bios available for the motherboard.

Nope.
