A quick question, can anyone tell me what the DOS file hhs.pif is & it's
function,if any. The reason is it just started showing up in my task mngr.
window & it's never been there before.
Thanks!

Yes & nothing showed up. I was roaming around & looking thru the computer
management (loaded modules) & found a listing for it to be in the
WINNT\System32 file but it's not there. I brought up the hidden files just to
be sure. I was told it's a DOS file & they won't show up on a file search
will they? I went into the command prompt but I'm a semi-novice in that area
so I tread lightly, but found no results. If I was typing the commands right.

The directions on the page listed (the kgiii.info page) are really rather
generic for a reason. Generally just plain generic rules need be in place
for people to understand the objective. The parts you should pay close
attention to are the nature of the beast - do scans in safe mode without
networking AND ensure you're using the latest definition files for the
scanning applications. Cleaning up manually is really what I generally
recommend but most people aren't able to take the time to do so and the
automated tools, when run properly, do a "good enough" job often enough to
warrant not standing atop a soap box on such subjects.
