Pictures Won't Show Up After Publishing

When I add any pictures to my page, and then publish it, they won't show up. I have tried everything and I dont know why this happens. Can anyone help?
 
Did you import the images into
a folder inside your web, then
link to them, and then publish.??

They must be inside of your web,
not just "anyplace" on your machine.

no i didnt import the images into a folder inside my web, then link to them, i saved the pics to my c drive first then just went to add image, and then saved and then pubished
 
That won't work, because when
you publish your site the links still point to
your hard drive. Then when a viewer looks
at your page they can't see the images because they
can't access your hard drive.
So you "must" copy the images into a folder in your web
and then insert them in your pages.

i.e. the world ain't round so we can't get there from here.
We have to start from someplace else.

Some pics show up but not all of them on my first page i wanted to put construction signs up, but they wont show up, and some of my titles didnt show up either, they were images that i created first, then tried to add them as an imag

You must place copies of the images in your web.
The links point to your hard drive....

That's strange, with FP02 when I used "insert file/picture" I got them
from anywhere off my hard drive outside the "my webs" folders. When I
saved the page I would get a dialog box asking me if the proposed
actions are ok, like if it's ok to save or overwrite and save to the
images folder. I can't remember the last time I imported first and
then inserted.........when I publish from the disk based web to the
server the path usually remained relative....images/mypic.xxx Is this
different now in FP2003?

I did have this trouble with some interactive dhtml button menus I was
trying to copy and paste from one page to another. FP2003 had to
rename them all for each different page for all the 3 actions and the
copy/paste did not translate after publishing.
