pictures on frontpage

Whats the best way to add pictures to a frontpage web besides the Photo gallery option because that doesn't let me add links to each picture. I need to know How I can add pictures in an organized manner with a description of each picture and be able to add different links to each picture. I'm making a store so these pictures that I want to add will be the actual products that I will be selling.

I'm hosted on windows server, my host currently offers an ecommerce, not an actual store. Which means I dont have the option of using their ecommerce as an actual store front, I have to create my own store then link my products to their ecommerce wizard

However you can find complete ASP database driven eCommerce application,
some for free or low cost, that would handle the entire process.
