Pictures not showing

I'm using FP 2003. I'm working with a template. The problem is that the
pictures I insert show up on design and preview mode, but when previewed in
the browser only the placement box and a small box in side show up. The small
box is not an X. I have tried the following ways.
1. import image into the files of template then insert picture
2. I have copied and pasted
3. I have used the insert way.
I have worked with several templates and I have never had this problem.
Does anyone have any more suggestions? This website template is not on the
internet yet.

make sure you are working in a Frontpage web and not just a folder. Clear
your Frontpage cache just in case

Make sure the image is not corrupted. Sometimes converting it to a JPG
(even though it is a JPG) might help.

HI. I checked to see if what was open is a site folder. The files show the
name of the site/site. Is this the way is should be? Some things went odd a
while back on my computer and when I click open site it shows all the sites
and I have choose which site then in the web site it lists all the sites
again. I have to choose the site I want again. When viewing folder list of
the site it shows all the sites.

Make sure you are working in a Frontpage website. if you open the My
Computer icon and drill down to where your FP website is, does it have a
globe on it?

Hi Corey, I think I'm in big trouble. There are no globes and when I open the
the web sites I have already up loaded in the past, most of it is the
original template. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct this
problem? I would be very grateful for any help I can get at this point!

Start from scratch. Go to File - new Web. this will create you a Frontpage
Website. Now you can copy the files that you have already done.

You might try going to File - open web and see if it will allow you to
choose to convert the folder you are working in to a web

I used the new website wizzard and imported the old site files into a new
site file for the site I can't view the pictures on. It worked!!!!! I can
view the pictures in the browser. What a relief!!! Now I will have to
download some of the sites from the web to a new site folder. Some of the
files are messed up on a couple of the site files on my computer. Thank you
for your help!!!!!
