Pictures no longer show in thumbnail view

Since I downloaded the most recent updates for WinXp and I click on a folder
that contains my digital I can no longer see the picture even though view is
set to thumbnail view. The only thing is see is an icon that shows JPEG. How
can I get my pictures so that they will actually show in thumbnail view?

Please why, exactly, you downloaded and installed an update to your OS?
What specific problem were you having that you needed a fix for. Please
be specific.
