pictures in comment boxes?

I would like to use Excel to organize inventory of office furniture and
equipment.
Ideally I would like to have a picture available when you hover over an
item. I was thinking that I could just drop a picture in the comment box but
that doesn't seem realistic. I am not well versed in excel and would
appreciate any feedback and suggestions.

You can place a picture in a Comment.

Right-click and Edit Comment>Select perimeter of Comment and right-click>Format
Comment>Colors and Lines>Fill>Color. In the dropdown select Fill
Effects>Picture.

For VBA code method to drop a picture into a Comment see Debra Dalgleish's site.

To have a picture show up when you select an item from a DV list see JE
MCGimpsey's site.

OR Back to Debra's site for a sample workbook from Bernie Dietrick for adding
pictures to selections.
