In Front Page, I am designing our web site. In the normal mode the pictures
look pretty good. Then save and go to preveiw to look at it and all the
pictures are gone. Does anyone know why? Thanks!

Do they appear when you publish the site? Did you import the pictures into
your web?

You need to copy then paste each pic from where it is now into the images
folder in your website.

I was afraid to publish it to the site as I thought that everyone would be
able to look at it. I didn't want that to happen until I had it right. When
I went to browse under file, it doesn't show pictures either. I went to
insert, picture and then looked for them. I have alot of pictures to do and
don't want to put alot in there if I'm doing something wrong. Since we are
talking. Can you put too much on a page? If so how do you make page 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, etc or what is the solution? Thanks so much.

Use File Menu | Preview in Browser, then right click on the red X, then properties to see where the
browser expects the file to be located. Also if the image is a JPG image, make sure it is was stored
a using a RGB subformat and not CMYK format.

What is the format for the pictures you have inserted and also check the size
for these pictures
you can try converting the .jpeg files to smaller .gif images
I think picture size really matters

Which image editing software do you have and do you know about sizing them
and optimizing your images so that they don't take too long to load? There
are plenty of artilces out there to help you or study the book or Help files
that came with your program. Yes, you can have too much on a page very, very
easily. For starters with FrontPage get Jim Buyens' book for all the basics
(and much more): FrontPage Inside/Out. Here's an article that he wrote that
might help a lot ... before you get too far along:

No, it means you MUST move/copy them into a folder of your choice within
your web.
/Images, created by FP, is a good place to place them. (or a subfolder
beneath it)
I try to create folders according to the event to which they are tied to.
That way it is easy to find the files associated with the particular event.

Again, please tell me which image editing software you have and I can
hopefully give you more specific help.
Photos should NOT be gifs ... You will lose quality. Photos should become
jpgs! Hope you didn't change your originals!!

Show us your URL ... in other words the address to your pages. We can help
you much better if we can see what you are or aren't doing.
