On certain websites, for example espn.com, certain images and videos will not
appear on the screen. Instead a blank white square is there and on the upper
left hand corner there is a small box with a square, triangle, and circle in
it. When i right click and click on "properties" is says hyperlink protocol
transfer. I have windows XP, internet explorer 6.0, norton antivirus,
microsoft spyware beta. I am also having troubles with videos, also on espn
but on other sites like cnn.com where it says "java void"...but i have the
newest java script. please help!

Hi Mario :)

There can be several reasons for this, so I will provide information on the
most usual causes first:

Cannot see web images or pictures

First - Do you have an accelerator supplied by your ISP? If so, try turning
it off.
It works by reducing image size (and therefor quality) for downloads.

then....

Try clearing the IE cache. IE>Tools>Options>General>Delete files (and
delete offline content.)

If you have McAfee, turn off the McAfee Privacy.

Zone Alarm Pro can block Images in IE

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.
