PICTURE WON'T PLAY IN PREVIEW - BLANK SCREEN

Whenever I import a picture into the timeline it won't play in the preview -
I just get a blank preview screen. I tried both jpeg and bmp pictures and I
still get the same problems. Please help! THANKS

Hello Again,

After reading other posts, I decided to try registering the .dll's. I found
all of them in the movie maker folder, but when I tried registering the last
three files (wmm2res.dll, wmm2eres.dll, and wmm2res2.dll) I got an error
message saying that they were loaded but the DllRegisterServer entry point
was not found.

hmmm, as this is the 2nd time this has come up I decided to try it myself.
I got the same results, even though my Movie Maker is working perfectly, as
you did.
The last 3 DLL's on my list won't register.
I just took a look at Papajohn's website on the subject and he doesn't list
those last 3 DLL's for registering so apparently this is my mistake. I
listed all the DLL's installed by Movie Maker but from what he has on his
page apparently the last 3 don't get registered.
You registered the rest of them so try the program now and see if that did
the trick.
I will go back and change my page now.

yes... some DLLs need to be registered and some don't....
