Picture in message appears bigger than original

I'm using Outlook 2003. I have this problem with adding
pictures in messages. When ever I add a picture in a
message(not as attachment), the picture looks much bigger
than it actually is. The funny thing is that, when I
check the size of the image in the message it shows to be
the same size as what it should be, say 1 inch height and
width. But looking at it in the message it looks like
it's about 30% bigger. I don't want to adjust the pic
everytime I send a message with a pic pasted in it. I'm
using winxp pro as well. Any suggestions? Thanks for
helping.

Print size and screen size are measured COMPLETE DIFFERENTLY. You
monitor screen uses "Pixels" to determine how big stuff it. You need t
make sure the resolution of the photo isn't too high (usually 72 pp
(pixels per inch)for monitor viewing). Also, the entire width of you
monitor is probably 800 pixels (depending on your settings) -- so yo
probably only want your photo to be 200 - 300 pixels wide, mayb
smaller. Think about this: If your photo is 300 ppi, and it's 4 inche
wide, that's 1200 pixels! That's wider than your viewing area!

Open your photo in a photo editor and check the size -- remember, loo
at _pixels_ not at _inches_ . :
