picture format

I was wondering if anybody has an idea about how to fix
this. Recently when I try to save pictures while surfing
the web it only alows me to save them as a bitmap, even
though the picture is actully in a jpeg format. I've poked
around the settings and have not found any way of changing
this. How can I get the browser back to being able to save
pictures in a jpeg format?

Thanks in advance

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.

The usual fix for this problem is to delete your Temporary Internet Files - Tools...Internet Options...General tab, Delete Files, tick the box for off-line content, click Okay.
