Picture at top of Start menu.

At the top left-hand corner of my start menu there's a picture of a
guitar, right next to my name. Is there any way of changing that
picture, or getting rid of it?

Control Panel => User Accounts => Select your user account => Click "Change
my picture".

FYI: Disabling the Welcome Screen removes the picture from the Start Menu.
