It has occured to me that I have not typed the full screen message in my last
question.....sorry for that.
The full message was
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

MpFirewall.sys - Address BAE07981 base at BAE05000, dDatestamp3fce1349
 
MpFirewall.sys is a component of McAfee's Personal Firewall. There may be
updates that you need for it. Their forums indicate that some people are
crashing and there are updates for at least some of these crashes.

I do not own mcafee. I use Norton. could there be any other reason?? and
