photos not showing on the internet

When I go onto the internet some of the pictures are a
blank box with a red cross in the top left. Please help.

This simply means that the image your browser is trying to load cannot be located at the address included in the HTML. For example, I could very well attempt to include the image at http://www.somewebsite.com/someimage.gif, but chances are the image would not be located and a placeholder image would be shown instead.
