Hi all, I tried reading through here to get an answer, but wqas unable to get
anything to work properly...

I have Photo Story 3, Windows Movie Maker and Nero 7 Ultra Edition. I can
build a Slideshow on both Photo Story and Movie Maker, but am unable to get
them to a DVD which can be played on a regular DVD player.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Are you saving in the .wmv or .avi format?

Have you tried using NeroVision Express?

Are you using DVD media that is supported
by your DVD player?

Hi John,

Thanks, someone in a previous string said Nero Express -- which is part of
Nero Ultra 7 -- they must have meant Nero Vision, which I tried, and it
worked! Thank you!

I am using the .wmv format, not .avi (not sure which is better, but I know
how to do the .wmv, so will try that first.

I guess it's all in what you learn, are comfortable with, and have purchased
)

Since I purchased Nero (at a friends recommendation), I will try to stick it
out and learn that program...

Thanks

You mentioned .avi...

Movie Maker can save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Thanks John,

One question, are there benefits to the .avi files? Are they better
quality, and will they play on a DVD player?

I don't think there are any DVD players that can
play .avi files as is...but authoring software will
convert them to the correct format.

Here's some info on .avi:
