Photo Story 3 and DRM'd WMA

What is the official position of Microsoft regarding Photo Story 3 and
music purchased through Napster, MSN, etc? Currently PS3 will not allow
me to import the DRM'd music. This is a horrible limitation of the
program and seems to confirm most people's fears about purchasing
"secure" music. How can Microsoft promote the use of a program that
doesn't even work with their music service.

The ironic part is that I was going to purchase a song from MSN just to
use with Photo Story, but didn't when I found out I couldn't use it. MS
just lost a sale and while $1 may not be a lot, many other people would
probably want to do the same.

So what is MS's official position regarding this? Will we ever be
allowed to use DRM'd music in programs like Photo Story? If not, I'm
probably going to discontinue purchasing music through MSN. This is a
textbook case of fair use not being allowed and will not be tolerated by
consumers.

I have a couple pages on my Movie Maker site

- the Importing Source Files > Digital Rights Management page has some info
and a link to Microsoft's position.

- the Importing Source Files > Music and Audio page provides some info about
how to get it into MM2 or Photo Story.... if you have the legal rights to do
it.
