photo link deleting

in my documents i have a folder in this folder it has a shortcut to a photo
the original file has been removed from where it was stored and deleted
my problem is i cannot delete the shortcut
i tried renaming the fhe folder and the shortcut
the folder will rename but not the shortcut
the shortcut says it is a jpeg file
and properties says it contains 2 files 158kb
attributes says read only and archive are checked
can anyone tell me how to delete the shortcut

Right click the shortcut, go to properties and unclick the read only
attribute.

i already did what u suggested but when i click apply it goes back to read
only every time
anymore suggestions would be appreciated

I would try to delete the file in safe mode.
