Photo Gallery HELP!!!

I am having problems creating a photogallery. I add the pictures and add a
caption then when I click ok it comes up "creating thumbnails" but nothing
happens. I have managed to create a gallery with no captions and I cant seem
to update a gallery either.

Is there anyone who has had this problem or can tell me if any settings are
wrong??

The FP photo gallery is problematic at best. I suggest (as is often
recommended on this group) JAlbum. (www.jalbum.net) for creating your photo
galleries.

I know many on this forum do not like the FrontPage photo gallery component.
I have a hiking website (http://www.allhikers.com) with many trip reports
with thousands of photo galleries. It has worked flawlessly for me. I
actually edit my pictures in Photoshop to two sizes: thumbnail size (3 x
2.25) and larger size for the photo gallery (640 x 480 pixels). I put the
thumbnail pictures in my trip reports and link from them to the photo gallery
with the larger size pictures. It's more work, but has never failed to give
anything but great results.
