photo album - max # of pics & finishing touches

I'm in the process of creating a photo slide show using "photo album." so
far have about 100 pics inserted. Two questions -is there a recommended max
number of pics to use for the slide show to run properly? (I'll be
transferring it from my hard drive to a laptop). also - I want to start
putting the finishing touches in place - transitions, etc. But once I do
that, can I still add more photos if necessary later on?

There is no limit to the number of slides, aside from making sure you have
time to go through them all. But the more imporantant question is what is
the file size. If you want the presentation to be emailable, there is a size
limit (generally under 4 MB). On the other hand, if the presentation will be
transferred on a CD then the limit is 650MB (not really recommended). Alot
has to do with the power of the computer being used to play the
presentation, some worry at 5MB, some at 300MB... sort of depends on your
situation.

In general a presentation with lots of images is going to be larger than a
text-only presentation. So with 100 images, at full size, around 60k each,
you should have a file around 6-10MB. If it is a lot more, then you are
using images that are not optimized (eg. to big).

Yes you can add additional slides and images at any point later on.
