Dear All,
Not sure if this is the right newsgroup, but if not please advice..
I had to reinstall Windows XP over my present system, everything now seems
to be working properly except the Windows Dialler.

Every time I try to use it to dial a number, either the slide-in connection
window take forever to appear, or it does not appear at all and the Dialler
prog just hangs or is it does connect, I cannot disconnect without using
task manager.

My Question is: is there any way to remove and reinstall the Dialler program
or edit something like the registry to solve this problem?
Many thanks for any support.

goto control panell, select add/remove programs and select windows
components. remove it and install it.

Hi Robert,
Many thanks, but the Phone Dialler is not listed at all in add/remove
Windows Components on Windows XP Home.

Hi Gerry,

I believe the OP is talking about Phone dialer (dialer.exe), not dial-up
connection.
