Phantom toolbar

Could somebody please tell me where the info for desktop toolbars
(right-click taskbar, hold cursor over toolbars at the top) is kept. I
have uninstalled an application, but the entry to the toolbar remains.

I have scanned the registry, but could not find anything (I searched
for the text in the toolbar entry).

TIA.

Download my program deskbands.exe from the following URL.

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/deskbands.exe

Save it to the Desktop, and double-click to run the program. The program
makes no changes to your system, but generates the list of Toolbars added to
the Taskbar, and logs the info to a text file. Copy the text and paste it in
your reply.

Hi Ramesh,

Used the program to find and get rid of the toolbar myself.

Many thanks.

You're welcome Guy.
Can you tell which GUID that was?

No problem. Just curious if it was a Malware deskband.

It was from Copernic desktop search v1.7. I uninstalled it before
upgrading to v2.0 beta. The GUID began with a '9' (FWIW). The
uninstall was not clean.
