Phantom Policy in RSOP

C

cary

Hey all...weird problem...

Linked GPO to OU..
Applied GPO settings to computers in OU..
Needed to unlink GPO....
All computers in OUs with linked GPO stopped showing the GPO settings in
RSOP except one...
Checked to see if any other OU has GPO linked.....answer -> none
Deleted the GPO...
RSOP still shows the GPO settings on only the one computer in question...

Ideas??

Could be that that machine is having problems processing GP and thus is not
getting the cleaned up GPOlist. You might want to check its application
event log for userenv errors.

Also worth checking that the delete of policy has repicated to all DC's
using gpotool.

Dave-
I don't think GPOTool will show if a link has replicated or not. Links are
stored on the container objects in AD and are not tracked as part of the
GPO.
