Outlook 2002 SP3, windows xp home, SP1 with all hotfixes.
outlook continuously tries to send one message which keeps on timing out
with the mail server. there's nothing in my outbox. Everything I have sent
has been sent and has been delivered but outlook keeps on wanting to send
something!
have run a detect and repair, run the PST repair tool etc. no luck.
every time I do a 'send/recieve' outlook tries to 'send message 1 of 1'
any ideas?

I was hoping someone would answer, I'm having the same issue. If you find
out why please post here also.
Thanks,
Ed

Try creating a new .pst file for the account. Next change the delivery
location for the account(s) to point to the new .pst file. Then import the
contents of the original .pst file. I no longer receive the send error.
