In a LAN where all computers are connected by a cabled router and access
point. no server or domain. When opening the My network place, there are
always some phantom folders which are annoying finding the right folder or
file. Those folders are previously opened and stay like a cache in the
network. Is there anyway to clear up the cache?

Delete phantom folders from My Network Places the same way that you
delete files from a folder: right-click and delete, drag to the
Recycle Bin, etc.
