I've lost my freeware version 7.????? of PGP for home use, hadn't used it
for years.
http://www.pgpi.org/
....anything better out there ?
Any advice on which was the last, best, most robust free version of PGP and
where I can still get it.

TIA

....grateful for any advice, and experiences on it / with it - PGP
....I want to use the volume encryption on one or more drive partitions,
....but, I may chicken out.

regards, Richard

Download the latest version from PGP
<http://www.pgp.com/downloads/index.html>

You will get full functionality for 30 days after which it reverts
to freeware functionality.

The alternative is freeware GnuPG
<http://www.gnupg.org>
preferably in combination with a freeware Windows front-end program
like

PGPShell <http://www.jumaros.de/rsoft/index.html>
or
WinPT <http://www.winpt.org>

A better place to ask this question is in the newsgroup:
