I use it and I think it is a good application. Much faster than Adaware.

For immediate relief I would download Adaware ( Freeware version ) from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
and immediately update the Reference file. You should update the Reference file each time you run the programme.

I tried Pest Patrol a few days ago,I recieved several
False positives.It shaowed Spybot S&D browser add/on as
adware and many of "spywareblasters" entries as confirmed
positives.It has been removed from my system.However
their information base at there website is extensive.

You need more than one program these days to stay safe and sane. I'd
suggest

A good Anti-Virus program, updated and run frequently.

A good firewall like Zone Alarm or the built in XP firewall
ZoneAlarm is available free at:

Ad-Aware 6.0 - for removing spyware
