Personalised Favourites in Start Menu

P

Probert

I've very recently upgraded from Win ME to XP and one of the things I really
liked about ME was its ability to pick out the IE 'Favourites' addresses you
use most if you had the Start menu settings that way, hiding the less used
ones from view until you needed them.

For work purposes I have nearly 200 'favourites' that I need, of which I use
perhaps 10 almost every day, the others far less frequently (one a month in
most cases, once a year in others).

In XP there doesn't seem to be any similar 'personalisation' in the Start
menu settings. Is it hidden anywhere else (like Tweak UI for example), or
has it not been included. It is still there in IE program menu once you're
using IE, but not, seemingly, on the main OS settings.

Any help gratfully received, as it is becoming a bit of a pain scrolling
through my favourites to get to the ones I most use. I never realised how
much I would actually miss this helpful little setting!

Cheers,
Probert.

Thanks,
That does it within the drop-down 'Favourites' menu in IE - which I knew.

My question is really about the 'Favourites' listing on the Start menu. In
ME the 'personalisation' you see in IE is also applicable to the ME Start
Menu through the Taskbar 'properties' settings - when IE isn't already open
and running.

But thanks for replying and trying anyway.

Cheers,
Probert.

since both lists are the same list figured one setting
controlled both physical lists. personally i only have
all programs and my computer on a very small start menu
(13" screen). i would open IE to get Links toolbar with
all the regular favorite sites.
