Personal .pst backup location won't change

Hi, all.

I use Outlook2007 on Vista 32 Pro. I added in the routine for regular saving
of the .pst file, and I am offered the chance to save it every time I quit
Outlook. At some time in the past I had an external drive on the system (USB)
and changed the destination of the save operation to a folder this target for
further safety.

Now that I use that external drive with another CPU I want to be able to
change the save destination to the local drive - and perhaps another external
- but even though the "Change" button offers a browsing interface and file
destination choice, when I click save the software tells me the (original
external location) is not available, and I have to "Escape" out of the
process.

It is ignoring the request to change the destination.

Anyone know how to get this to respond to the indicated change?

Thank you, DL. I thought I had made clear that I have done this several
times to try to force a change in the location of the save. What is odd is
that I can browse and see a new location choice, BUT when I initiate the
save, the same dialog box always appears telling me that the path to the
folder in the [previous] external hard drive does not exist - and do I want
to create it? I In this last dialog I only have the chance to "Skip" or
Cancel or a third option which escapes me at the moment.

So I need to jolt this add-in into doing what it says it's going to do!

Any other thoughts, anyone?
