Hi

How do you craete a persistent drive mapping for a local folder on XP?

Now I have a CMD file that uses SUBST command in the Startup folder.
Is there a better way?

TIA, Eugene

Either a substitution or a share mapping will do the trick. What's
wrong with your current method?

I use the Registry Run to perform a SUBST when I logon...

The following excerpt was exported from mt Win2K PC. Ir is meant to be only an example.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

"ETC Files"="subst f: c:\\winnt\\system32\\drivers\\etc"
"McAfee ENGINE"="subst g: \"C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Network Associates\\Engine\""
