Persistant Connection to Server in XPP

I have BCM 2007 SP1 on our network. It seems on the XPP system we have it is
always connected and communicating with the SQL Server (SBS 2003 Premium).
The Vista machines don't see the amount of traffic that the XP system does.
Any ideas?

I believe that db connections were throttled back in a recent service
pack, so you could check all your BCM's are the same versions.

No luck...still always connecting and syncing (apparently).
