Perpetual error problem

I encountered an error message about 2 this afternoon and
closed Outlook. Whether I sent a message to Microsoft or
did not send a message, Outlook continued to encounter
this error each time I attempted to reopen. I have
rebooted my computer multiple times, checked the error
log in system tools (event viewer) and find these errors:

"This service database is locked". The link takes me to
this window on Microsoft and tells me to check the event
viewer for errors which is where I got this message, so
I'm looping through their support.

Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 10005
Source: DCOM
Version: 5.0
Component: System Event Log
Symbolic Name: EVENT_RPCSS_START_SERVICE_FAILURE
Message: DCOM got error "%%%1" attempting to start the
service %2 with arguments "%3" in order to run the server:
%4

There are three additional errors, back to back that take
me to the same place but the third says something about
imapi in order to run the service and the fourth says
it's trying to start the service with MCVSRte.

Can anyone help me?

Need a lot more info to figure anything out. Version? Mode? OS? Full and
complete error messages (all of em). Have you added any software or
hardware or hotfixes or Service packs lately? What were you doing at 1:59
this afternoon, what programs were open and exactly what were you trying to
do? Have you run a virus scan with an up to date antivirus program?
