Permissions/security for Inbox and Outbox

I am attempting to set up an "inbox" and an "outbox" for
my school. Any help would be appreciated.

The inbox must be set up so that once students drop in a
file, they cannot edit it. They also should not be able
to read anyone else's files in the box. I believe I have
this set up correctly by giving only write security to
the Students group.

The outbox must be set up so that once a teacher moves
the student file into it, only that student can read it.
I believe I have this set up correctly, too, by giving
only read permissions to "Creator Owner" and having the
teacher click the "Apply permissions to child objects"
after they put all the files in this box.

Unfortunately, I overlooked something: as soon as the
teacher grades the student file, they take ownership of
it, so my "Creator Owner" security trick doesn't work.
Is there any way around this? (Asking our teachers to
change the owner on each file after grading is probably
asking too much... there should be an easier solution.)

It might be easier to have the teacher give that student only read
permissions after he is done with the file. Otherwise you might look into
creating an outbox folder for each student. --- Steve
