permissions changing

I don't know how exactly how to state this so bear with
me. On my Windows 2000 file server, there are certain
folders that are resetting their permissions to that of
the parent folder. I know the this can be accomplished
by forcing it from the parent folder, but has anyone heard
of it doing it on its own?

Hi, Chandana.

Please use one of the several ".test" groups for Test posts. Some newbie is
going to come along, see your test post here, and think that's the way it
should be done. :>(

PS: Netiquette also frowns on "hijacking" another poster's thread.
