Permission on partition

I have a partition D drive for storing data. How do I not let the other user
within the same computer access to the D drive?

In a network situation, how can I set permission accessing to the partition
D drive to some specified networked computers?

Can I permit specified users to read and edit some folders?

If you enable disk qoata from the properties dialog for the drive, you can
set to 0 for that user. May work for for the local users on that PC.

You can use compmgmt.msc and go to "Shared Folders" --> "Shares." In the
right pane you can right-click and "New Share..." When you get to the
"Permissions" part of the wizard you should click on "Customize" and remove
EVERYONE and just add the user that you want to have access.

For the network situation all you have to do is change the location when you
go to "add" an object(user/computer/group etc...).

For your last question you should play with the "add" feature. You can
limit anyone to read, write, full access; just depends on what you want.

If I were you I would just go through the Share Wizard to get the hang of
things.
