Permanently setting the image quality to 100

I am getting frustrated with having to right click on all my thumbnails and
setting the compression quality from 75 to 100. I have compressed and edited
all my images using Paint Shop and I would just like Frontpage to allow me to
enter images without compressing them even further.

Is there any way of defaulting this setting to 100 so that I don't have to
change every single image I upload to my site?

A work around is to prevent FP from saving the images.
File->Import the images and thumbnails into folders in your open
FrontPage web, then insert onto pages from those folders. FP will then
not touch the images at all.

I take it that this would mean creating the thumbnails myself and taking
even more time. Simply clicking on the thumbnail button is one feature of
Frontpage that I do like. So there is no way of setting the value as a
default then?

Creating the thumbnails is quite easy in the free IrfanView
www.irfanview.com

You can do it in batch. Select a group of images and select Create
thumbnails and it does the whole lot.

It takes the name of the file (say image1.jpg) and adds "_t" to the name
(e.g. image1_t.jpg). You can choose which folder to put them in. Mine are in
images/thumbnails

So you have to change your references to use that style of name, but once
done, it is easy to continue.

Thanks for all your help guys, but it doesn't look like it's possible to
speed up the process at all. Creating thumbnails using seperate software,
importing them into Frontpage and adding a hyperlink to the main picture for
every thumbnail seem even more long winded than changing the value to 100.

Never mind, I will continue the mind numbing task of right clicking and
changing the value to 100 for every single image I upload!!!

I still find it hard to believe that there is no way of defaulting this
setting...Annoying!
