Permanently change select color from black

Ed

On my Macintosh in MS Word selecting was always a pleasant
red. On my PC, can I select a color other than black to cut
and paste (that is always there) when I select a passage? I
want to be able to do this without having to go to the
Highlite Icon in the menu each time.

Selecting now in different programs is:
Word: black
Netscape = blue
Eudora E-mail: IN (dominant) = blue, OUT = black (before
sending, then blue after)

I'd like them all to be other than Black.

Thank you. I did this which changes the color of the names
of icons and folders when selected. But what I really want
is to be able to select words or sentences in a MS Word
document to change the select color from Black to Blue or
Red - anything but black.

Hi Ed,
But what I really want
is to be able to select words or sentences in a MS Word
document to change the select color from Black to Blue or
Red - anything but black.
I don't think there is any way to change this.
