Permance Monitor Not Showing Counters

Hi,

Performance monitor is showing only IP and WFP
counters. None of the CPU
or memory related counters are shown. Are they
available somewhere on Vista
Home Premium? This a new Compaq laptop.

Right click on the task bar and select Task Manager, select the Performance
Tab.
Then select Resource Monitior. Where had you been looking?

I'm referring to perfmon.exe which is much more
extensive than the one in Task Manager.
I'm new to Vista and am having problems with
performance counter both in perfmon.exe
and Visual Studio.
