period key

when i press the period key once, its function does not
stop. its like someone is holding down the key..but its
not being held down and it comes back up fully..i have
gotten it chekced out..do you know what the problem could
be? and how i can solve it

Dirty key. Turn your keyboard upside down and shake it!

A can of compressed air will blow it out nicely.

It's probably stuck. Try another keyboard and see if the problem
disappears. If yes, then you know it's the keybaord. If no, then you
know it might be the computer or the keyboard driver.
