"Perimeter" Defined in regards to MS Windows or AD

Hi-

I'm looking for a detailed definition of "Perimeter" when used in Windows
terminology. I came across this in my MS Exam 70-296 and it caught me off
guard. From what I gathered it seems to be equivalent to a DMZ zone? Any
links or comments better explaining this is appreciated.

Yes it´s equal with DMZ
