Does anybody know way computers i general after a couple
of years gets so incredible slow, especially when
starting up?

Are there any cleaning programs availeble or other ways
of fixing speed.
I also noticed the amazing number of processes running on
a "resting" computor. Is there a simple way to get hold
of information on what should be running or not?

Computers "in general" do not get incredibly slow. However, the computers of
users who do not maintain their computers and/or do not use them wisely can
get slow in a very short time.
