Hi,

Could someone explain to me how the following occurs?

I installed a new hard drive today. The old hard drives score was 5.2 it is
now 5.6. My old Base score was 5.4 but now it has dropped to 4.7. I have done
nothing except put the new hard drive in yet my CPU AND my RAM score has
dropped?

Is the computer still working really well, and is the new hardware doing all
that you expected from it? if the answer is YES, then do not worry about a
set of spurious numbers..

They are a guide to how well your hardware can cope with the 'present'
environment.. when your RAM and CPU are superseded by better products on the
market, your hardware will slip back down the ratings.. BUT as long as you
feel that your hardware is doing the job for which it was purchased, then do
NOT worry about it..
