peer-to-peer

Bill

I have three machines on a peer to peer.
Two XP Pro machines and a W98 machine.
The W98 machine (BILL) cannot see one of the XP machines.
It is named JUDY.
When I go to networks I can see all three machines,
however, when I click on JUDY I get an error message the"
\\JUDY is NOT accessible."
So I cannot see any of JUDY'S shared resources from the
BILL machine .
I can see and access the entire network from JUDY'S
machine as well as from the third machine(LOU) (WXP) on
the network.
The only communication NOT available is from BILL to JUDY.
ALL other combinations are available.
I can pass data back and forth from the JUDY machine to
the other machines.
I can pass data back and forth from the LOU machine to the
other machines
I can pass data back and forth to the LOU machine from the
BILL machine.
When I click on the JUDY machine from the BILL machine I
get the error "\\JUDY is NOT accessible".
Why?

Greetings Bill,

Make sure the XP's firewall is disabled on local area networks. It is
intended for direct connections to the Internet. If you installed a third
pary firewall such as Norton Firewall, ZoneAlarm, or Sygate make sure it
isn't blocking access between the machines. Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP on
all machines.

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall

Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP (NetBT)

Please post back and let us know how it works.
