PEER TO PEER WORKGROUPS USING A ROUTER TO CONNET TO INTERNET

R

Robin

Please help, I have been at this for days now.
I am choosing to create a workgroup between three
computers. (xp:pro, 2000:pro, and 98)
What configuration do I use? Is it residential gateway
or Direct thru a hub?
The current physical configuration is three computers
connected to wireless router which is connected to the
DSL.
If you could suggest a step-by-step that would be helpful.
Thx in advance

The Network Setup Wizard calls your router a residential gateway.
Specify that option when you run the Wizard on xp:pro and 98.

The Wizard won't run on 2000:pro. On that computer, the default
network settings should work fine. Setting the workgroup name to
MSHOME, to match XP will make networking a little easier.
