peer to peer connectivity

I am having a peer to peer connectivity problem. We have
5 computers in the office 4 of witch are running peer to
peer through a DSL router and a 5 port Nway switch. The
OSs are XP Pro, Win ME, and Win 98.

The issue is between the XP Pro and Win ME computers.
All other connections are fine. I attempted a ping
between the two from both computers and was
unsuccessful. After this I ran a ping from each computer
using their own IP address and was successful.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

FYI but not much in the way of help, ME usually fails on a
network at one time or anther.
