Peer Network

Hi all,

I have the peer to peer network at home. I just added the 4th PC. This PC is
running WinXP Home version and all others are Pro.

The problem is the XP Home PC does not show in the network. Can't even
remote into it.

How can I get the Home version to show up in the network? They are all
connected via NIC's to a Linksys router. The XP Pro's can see and
communicate with each other.

Thanks

I had the same exact problem, turned out to be a setting on Home about the
firewall. Was a setting about blocking access from the Internet. I turned
it off and now they all see each other. I am running my PC's on a router
with firewall.

That's why I like ZA firewall, you can place your LAN inside
the firewall.
Make sure you have the new computer set to allow the network
and file sharing on at least one folder or printer. The
networking wizard in your XP Pro or in Home will guide you
in setting this up.
