Hi,
I have setup an wireless network with Server2003, IAS and WindowsXP SP2
clients. All according to the MS Guide "Securing Wireless LANs with PEAP and
Passwords" Everytihin is working fine expet for one thing.
When the client is starting up, and shows the screen "Applying computer
settings" it takes more than a minute before the Ctrl-Alt-Delte sign shows.
I use Nortel AP´s and Nortel 2270 Security switch.

And this is for most of my clients, but not all....

Does any one have a clue what´s the cause of this behaviur?

Are you referring to:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/topics/cryptographyetc/peap_0.mspx

Generally wireless is slow, no matter how you do it, that is in comparison
with wired LANs.

Part of the process relates to the level of security: as I understand, the
higher the level of encryption the slower the encrypting/decrypting of data
being sent across the airwaves.

The transmitting PC encrypts then sends the information, then the receiving
PC decrypts acts upon the instauction and then encrypts any data being
returned in repsonse to the request.

This also applies to logon etc.
